Hello Wellness Seeker,

If you’re still sitting on the fence of whether or not you should buy organic food, you need to listen to this. Check out my post on my Instagram or Facebook

Practicing gratitude can improve your physical health. People who actively express gratitude tend to be more engaged in activities to take care of their physical health, like eating well and exercising. This leads to higher energy levels, better sleep and a stronger immune system, or the ability to fight off illness or infection.

🙏Gratitude Practice🙏

What is one physical activity that  you’re grateful you participate in, no matter the frequency?

Tip #1. Do You Know How to multitask effectively?

Although I’m not a big fan of multitasking because studies show that we can only truly multitask when it comes to highly automatic behaviours like walking. However, for activities that involve conscious attention, we are task switching, often times with less accuracy and focus.

However in a recent study published by the Royal Society Open Science Journal, it found out that women do have the ability to multitask as compared to their male counterparts. While we all struggle with time and deadlines here are some tips that can help you multitask without sacrificing effectiveness for efficiency.

1. Make a Plan

It’s vital that you know how you are going to tackle each project and have that laid out so you don’t have to do too much on-the-spot thinking or brainstorming.

2. Combine Similar Tasks to Work on at the Same Time

It’s vital that the tasks you’re working on have something in common, as your short-term memory can only handle so much. Keeping the tasks you’re working on similar will make it much easier to complete them effectively and efficiently.

3. Eliminate Distractions. Turn off your cell phone. Move into a quiet area. Maybe you want to listen to music or whatever your technique is, dedicate yourself to these tasks and these tasks alone.

4. Consistently Check in with Your Tasks and Goals

Make sure you are checking and rechecking your work throughout the process. Set small steps for each project so that you know you’re moving forward as opposed to plateauing.

5. Take Time to Review Your Work

When all is said and done, it’s imperative that you take the time to pay attention to specific details and review your work. Check what your original assignment was, and make sure the final product ticks off all the boxes.

People try and fail to multitask all the time, but if you can master these skills, you can be a valuable asset to your workplace. Subscribe for more workplace wellness tips like these.

Tip #2. Take a (1min) Time Out: Connect with Your Breath & Gratitude

Hello everyone and welcome to this quick coherence technique. It can be done any time to check in and relax.

I love to do it before it client meeting or a client call and it’s an amazing way to connect with your heart and your mind.

So start by relaxing your shoulders, keeping your spine straight and deep belly breaths in through the nose, out through the nose and I now invite you to focus your attention in the area of the heart. And as you continue this heart focused breathing, you can also lower your gaze or close your eyes if you’re not driving or operating machinery.

And I invite you to consider somebody that you’re grateful for today. Send them some love and gratitude for them in your life.

Tip #3. HeartMath Freeze Frame Technique for Decision Making

Are you stuck with a decision and don’t know what to do? Here’s a really interesting technique that works, every time. It is my honor to lead you through a freeze frame technique from the HeartMath Institute.

The freeze frame technique is a multi purpose technique that can be used in the moment for gaining clarity and stopping energy drains. It also helps balance your mind and emotions so you can think more creatively and make better choices.

This technique helps you gain a clear and balanced perspective. By accessing your intuitive intelligence. Clear clarity or insight may not come right away. This could have a lot to do with the complexity of the issue, past history and the intensity of any emotion that may or may not be related to the issue or situation. That’s okay. Be patient with yourself. Repeat the process later or the next day, it will begin to feel more natural with practice. Often solutions are inspired through communication or input from others.

Be sure also to notice any subtle shift in the way you feel shifting from feeling anxious but an issue to feeling calm significant. You’re not only plugged that energy, but you also shifted your feeling experience and opened the door for a solution to emerge at another time.

This technique is designed to use regardless of whether or not stress is present by bringing heart qualities to the forefront can help with mental clarity, decision making and creativity.

Tip #4. How To Achieve Your Goals?

Did you know that 90{1e16acf445973e61fdbd53de1c132af7e84fd195cf15d57956db2b0426c8fa60} of new year resolutions fail by February?

This is because when goals are difficult and challenging, people go off track. Most of us have a mission for ourselves which are goals or objectives we want to achieve in the next six months. We write down these SMART goals.

But to be authentic I advise you to have accountability for yourself and also be accountable to someone else to ensure you are on track. Rather than having 50 goals that are vague and without self-direction, look at something tangible and make yourself accountable in order to move forward.

Pick just one goal but that one goal should be so brilliant and clear that you can see it, touch it, feel it, smell it, and go towards it. Take personal responsibility and focus on what you want to achieve.

In the beginning of the year, I don’t like to set goals, but instead set intentions by asking yourself the question – Who do I want to be by the end of the year? And then what actions, behaviours, and habits will support that.

Tip #5. Begin Your Yoga Journey With Sun Salutations

The easiest way to begin your Yoga journey is with sun salutations. It is preferred that you face the sun as you work, and express your gratitude to a higher power for the Sun, the life source of the Earth.

A regular yoga practice that includes sun salutations can have an amazing  effects on muscle strength, general body endurance and body composition.

Studies show that sun salutations can be an ideal exercise to keep oneself in optimum level of fitness.
