We take over over 20,000 breaths a day. So imagine the impact if you can improve them by 10%, imagine the difference it would make. In my podcast interview with Giovanni Bartolomeo, he helps us understand how important breathing properly is for our overall health. He begins with inspiring us with his personal story of self-realization and how practicing breathwork was a transformational journey for him, which inspired him to create the Elemental Rhythm Breathwork Experience. During the experience participants are taught some effective elemental breathing techniques using the rhythm of music. The benefits of these intense forms of breathwork techniques increase your level of self-awareness, self-reflection and gratitude. Giovanni explains that what’s really important is how we balance our breathing throughout the day. Advising us to be breathing through our nose into our belly, in a slow and deep rate, with a consistent rhythm of breath, breathing deeply with our diaphragm, and always through our nose. Using these breathing techniques helps us activate a parasympathetic nervous system state, which helps us stay calm and not react but effectively respond in stressful situations. Giovanni shares with us transformational benefits of breathwork and explains how and why it’s important to correct our breathing for optimal mental, physical and emotional functioning.
